Global Hire and Services commenced operations in Cairns and Townsville in January 2010, servicing local business in various sectors of the building, construction, mining and manufacturing industry.

Global Hire has an extensive range of equipment available to meet our customer requirements including electrical, diesel and hybrid machines. Global Hire specialise in the hire and service of  Electric Scissor Lifts, Rough Terrain Scissor Lifts, Knuckle Booms, Stick Booms, Spider Lifts and Diesel Forklifts.

With a clear focus in mind of supporting local business we are able to not only hire, but also service equipment through regional Queensland from Bowen to Cape York. Our service and maintenance program is undertaken in house and also from our mobile service units. Our service team is focused and dedicated to ensure our customers receive quality reliable machines for their projects. Our plant and equipment is maintained in excellent condition and serviced at the end of every hire to Australian standards. Our service team provides prompt repairs and field service maintenance for Global Hire and Customer machines.

Backing our qualified service crew and fully operational workshop we have the ability to perform scheduled Pre -operational, Pre-harvest (90 day), Annual (12 month) and Major Inspections (10 Year)

Global Hire and Services also provides quality training programs to ensure the safe operation of machinery, our trainer assessors have the experience and knowledge to get your teams trained in a safe environment to a high standard.

Mr. Geoff Fisher – Global Hire & Services General Manager

Geoff Fisher began his career in the hire industry in 1979, working his way up into management roles. After owning a successful access and general hire business ‘Absolute Access’ from 1996 to 2006 when he sold his business to Force Corp Pty Ltd, where he stayed on as Regional Manager being responsible for North Queensland and Northern Territory until 2013 when Force closed their business in Townsville. Geoff started with Global Hire & Services in 2014 and is the General Manager of the hire group.

Mr. Darren Morrison – Townsville Sales Director

Darren Morrison commenced working in the access hire industry in 1998 with experience in various locations all over Australia. Darren is a Director of Global Hire & Services and has extensive knowledge of the requirements of our customers’ needs and industries.

Mr. Ryan Creighton – Cairns Sales Director

Ryan Creighton started in the Hire and Rental Industry in 2004, as a Sales Manager.  Ryan moved to Mackay in 2005 to concentrate on rentals in the Bowen basin, and have a sales focus on the growing Coal Mine Industry. After two and half years in Mackay, Ryan moved back to Townsville and his sales role was focusing on the Cairns and North Western parts of Queensland.

Michael James – Area Sales Manager 

Michael James first ventured into the hire industry in 2002 as a Hire Controller at Kennards, after learning the ins and outs of the industry he quickly moved into sales as an Area Sales Manager for Force Access. Michael commenced working for Global Hire in 2017 applying over 14 years’ experience in the hire industry specialises in access equipment hire and sales.

Beau Kennedy – Cairns Branch Manager

Beau Kennedy began his career in the general hire industry in 2005 in Darwin, after many years in general hire in Darwin Beau made his way across the border to Cairns where he secured a position with Global Hire & Services. Through Beau’s years of experience he was quickly able to demonstrate his abilities in the hire industry and after a short time assumed the role of Cairns Branch Manager. Together with Beau’s years of extensive hire industry experience and management attributes he has created local team that support our far northern region.

Chris Barnett – Townsville Branch Manager

Chris Barnett has been working in the hire industry since 2006. He commenced his role with Global Hire as Townsville Branch Manager in 2011. He has extensive knowledge of access equipment and the hire industry. He is committed to delivering practical solutions to his customers’ requirements. He prides himself on providing exceptional customer service in all aspects of the equipment hire business.
